  Date & Time: 20/01/2023 Friday Dear Diary You are my only true friend. This night I am going to share a very unique situation of life. You know me, I am very honest, obedient, loyal and helpful to everyone. I don’t know how this truly happened in my life. It was just a peer pressure and excitement that I agreed to stay in the canteen after lunch break. I was also suggesting my friends to finish and go for the physical education class. But it was Sohan who leaded the group and asked everyone to enjoy a party from his side. It is first time that my parents will have to listen a complain for me. But my parents know me very well and I have explained exactly what had happened. I am worrying and restless but feeling relaxed also that my parents will manage everything. Thank you      

  It was a late night. Anjali was about to switch off the light and go to bed when she saw a light outside the window. On close observation, she found that it was a fire. A fire! The very idea was horrifying. The house was on fire. She was in the grip of an unknown fear. She rushed towards the bedroom of her parents. She barged in and cried, “Fire Ma, Fire! Papa — fire!” At once they were out of their beds. They shouted, “Fire? Where?” They are on the ground floor. They came to the window. Soon all the neighbours appeared on the scene. The ‘Fire Brigade’ was informed and they replied promptly that they were on their way. Now we were confronted with a problem. We decided to take to the stairs. My mother tried to collect some valuables and documents. All other things were left behind. The thick layer of smoke had spread all around.
